The Hart Norway Festival 2022 in Loppa!

This fishing lcation is situated directly opposite Soroya and is characterised by a particularly challenging bottom structure. It lies slightly east of Oksfjord, but the underwater structure here is considerably better for fishing. The island of Silda is 10 kilometres long and 4 kilometres wide and lies like a large protective wall in front of the village of Bergsfjord. Surrounding the island are plateaus rich in fish from 20 to 100 metres deep, next to which it goes directly into the deap up to 300 and 500 metres. Also around the island of Loppa itself are these challenging and very fish-rich areas. And that is all only 15 to 30 minutes by boat. These are the best hotspots for large halibut, cod, saithe and wolffish.

We consciously chose our location in Bergsfjord called Loppa. The reason for this is quite simple. Both the shelter and the boats at this location are optimal and the sailing distances to the fishing grounds are short. Loppa is located directly opposite the well-known island of Soroya and therefore in the middle of the strike zone of all species of fish that live here. Where there is little shelter from the weather on Soroya, Bergsfjord has an enormous amount of shelter through the islands of Loppa and Silda which lie directly in front of the village of Bergsfjord. Therefore, the chance of fishing days being lost at this location is generally small.

It is also possible for enthusiasts to take a walk to the higher situated Bergsfjordvatnet. This hike takes about 15 minutes and you end up at a beautiful mountain lake where you can fish for different species of trout. So take your light spinning rod or maybe even bring your fly rod with you. This is a welcome change and a special opportunity to catch these species.

We have 3 houses and 3 boats to our disposal. However, if 2021 runs normally (no Covid) and there will be sufficient income, the 4th house and 4th boat will also be ready for use by the end of 2021. This means that we will than have 4 houses and 4 boats available. So the final decision for the 4th house and boat will be taken in mid-2021. The participants number 1 to 12 can definitively take part in this trip and numbers 13 to 16 will be on the waiting list until we are sure that the 4th house and boat are available. The houses we use are all completely refurbished and meet the needs of our modern times.

The Fisher's Mancave has 3 bedrooms with 2 double beds.
Halibut Heaven has 3 bedrooms. 2 rooms with 2 single beds and 1 room with 2 bunk beds for 2 persons.
Cape Cod has 4 bedrooms with single beds.
Steinbit Escape is currently under construction and if the season 2021 runs normally this house will be ready for use by the end of 2021. This house is suitable for a maximum of 6 persons.

All houses are equipped with a fully equipped open kitchen with cooker, refrigerator, coffee maker, refrigerator and accessories. The houses will be occupied by a maximum of 4 persons so that there is enough space and comfort for all participants. Furthermore, 1 bedroom of the house Cape Cod will be used for the gropupleader from Worldsbestfishingtrips.com and will therefore have 5 people.

Directly at the harbour you will find the covered filing house with several tables, running water and a spacious freezer. At this filing room you also have the possibility to dry your fish clothes.

The Wildeboat 650 is equipped with a cabin that can be closed and can seat up to 5 people. The equipment and luggage can also be kept dry here. The Wildeboat 650 XW S is equipped with a 150 HP Yamaha / Honda engine. The power, speed (max 70 km per hour), tranquillity and reliability of this boat makes it extremely suitable for sea fishing.

All boats are equipped with life jackets, rod holders, fishfinder, depth gauge, tracking system, and emergency flares. The boat also has AIS for extra safety. These are absolute top boats that offer a lot of comfort, speed and ease of sailing. The boats are very suitable for 4 more anglers because the foredeck can also be used while fishing. These boats are spacious, have 10 rod holders and are perfect for fishing in North Norway. All boats are equipped with a gaf for landing and releasing the fish in a careful way.

Fishing is done with rods from 20 to 30 lbs. If you want to be sure that you can get the really big fish up we advise you to choose the 30 lbs + rods. For example you can use the Hart Toro Boatrod 20 - 30 lbs as a rod in combination with the Hart Kombat JS 6500 reel.

The best contact with your bait you will have with dyneema. You will feel exactly what is happening at the end of your line at a depth of 50 to 100 metres. The breaking force of the dyneema is around 25 kilos in order to offer serious and controlled resistance to a large fish. It is best to have at least 300 but preferably 500 metres of line on your reel. The leaders used here have a thickness of 1 to 1.2 mm.

Ferry from Alta directly to Bergsfjord

On arrival or on the first morning: allocation of homes and safety drill (explanation of boats and use of on-board equipment)

Six days fishing on the 6.6 meter long and 2.7 meter wide Wild cabin boat, walkaround and 150 HP engine and GPS / fishfinder.
