Our pilot trip to Lapland was a very nice one. We do these types of trips 3 to 6 times a year to visit our locations, meet the partners in person, test the fishing and to learn what techniques and cuttings work for us and more importantly for our guests.
This lodge is located on an island exactly between Sweden and Finland. A maximum of 12 people can fish daily and you can fish here for flag salmon, salmon, pike and perch. In addition, we also caught a few brown trout and a big wind. The lodge and the accompanying houses are not new but certainly fully equipped. The meals served were particularly good as everything here is homemade. In addition, we also had fantastic weather with clear blue skies and sun with 20 to 25 degrees every day!
All fishing spots can be reached on foot within a 15-minute radius, but the most beautiful thing is that you and your own group are assigned your own guide for 5 days a week, each with 6 hours of guidance. Outside of these times, you can get started yourself.
A nice fact is that Finland and Sweden have an hour time difference. So if you are on one side of the river it is 13 o'clock but if you are on the other side it is 14 o'clock. Then, if you need to set your alarm, make sure you know what time zone you're talking about. Otherwise, you may be late and all the delicacies at breakfast are already gone.
