Titran, Froya

Next to Hitra with great fishing

Froya and Hitra are already well-known fishing locations and very popular with many fishermen. Not only because it is easy to reach by car, but also because the fishing around these islands is always good. On the island of Froya we have found a pearl which is a valuable addition to our portfolio in Norway.

In the southwest of Froya this location is located directly on the water and thus directly at the well-known top spots Ørneklakken, Torskskallen, Håkaskallen and Kyahølen. These underwater mountains make the hearts of all anglers beat faster. Cod and coalfish weighing up to 20 kilos and more are regularly caught here. But also pollack, sea wolf, haddock, redfish and halibut are also caught here.

In addition, this is really one of the best places in Norway to catch large ling in the troughs next to the underwater mountains. At depths of 100 to 150 metres, ling up to 30 kilos are caught here.

And the best part is that from this location you can get to these top fishing spots quickly and therefore with low petrol costs.

On request we can ask a local skipper to take you out fishing for a day with a large boat for up to 7 people. This skipper knows where to find the really big ones on his secret spots and this is definitely worth it. The fishing day can be arranged completely according to your wishes and is highly recommended. Big hake, ling, cod, coalfish, redfish etc. are certainly possible and he can anchor up to 600 meters deep!

Another skipper has a fishingboat of 37 foot which is capable of taking maximum 12 people and he has been fishing here for more than 40 years and knows this region like the back of his hand. Also perfect for a day out after the really big fish!

Titran has 7 houses that have been completely renovated and belong to the best on the island. Comfortable, well cared for and for a very nice price. All houses are directly on the water and the quay. So the boats are literally on the doorstep.

House 1 to 6 are 68 m2 and can accommodate a maximum of 6 people. There are three bedrooms with 2 single beds each. Furthermore there is a spacious living room with TV, a fully equipped open kitchen with cooker, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and coffeemaker. The separate bathroom has a shower, washbasin and WC. There is also a 300 litre freezer in the room next to the house.

House number 7 is 91 m2 and therefore somewhat larger than the other 6 houses. The layout is the same but it offers even more comfort.

In addition, there is a covered filetting room with running water and a washing machine and dryer for general use.

The nearest supermarket is about 13 kilometres away in the village of Nordskag, which is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Fridays and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays.

There is an impressive boat fleet that awaits our guests. We sometimes come across this type of boat in Northern Norway where the weather conditions can be more rough. But these Kvaerno boats are 21 feet and have 100 HP Yamaha engines that provide fast and comfortable sailing characteristics. And there are also 22 foot baots woith 150 HP available. Absolute top boats.

All boats are equipped with AIS, rod holders and have a Garmin GPS / fishfinder with a 9 inch screen. In this region these are the very best boats you can get.

On site there is a private petrol dispenser for guests to use. This way you can refuel quickly, 24/7 and easily and you can pay these costs on the spot with pin or credit card.

On request we can arrange a local fishingboat with skipper for a maxi mum of 8 fishermen to go out on a day out fishing.
