TRAVEL WARRANTY AND YOUR FINANCIAL SECURITY
For all travel agents providing travel packages*, the following applies by European law with regard to travel warranty: The warranty prevents consumers from losing the money they paid for their holiday in the event of financial insolvency or bankruptcy of the travel agent or any provider of the holiday. The travel warranty also guarantees travellers who are already travelling that they will be repatriated in case of emergencies.
(*A travel package is a holiday which consists of several elements comprising at least transport and accommodation (overnight stay or period of more than 24) or one of them plus another essential tourist service).
GGTO stands for Garantiefonds voor gespecialiseerde Touropeartors (Guarantee Fund for Specialised Tour Operators). This is a Dutch organisation of which over 400 tour operators are already member of. For each booking a contribution of 7,50 euro per son is charged. With these contributions the guarantee fund is expanded by each booking and maintained.
In practice, the following payment scheme applies. For the first invoice all direct costs paid by us in advance such as flight and ferry tickets, in combination with 25% of the remaining costs, must be paid. This first invoice / deposit is send after you have approved the booking. The final invoice of the rest sum will be sent 8 weeks before departure.
As a small and specialized travel organisation we would like to be able to offer financial security to our guests. Of course you can contact us with your questions about this. Or take a look at the relevant website: www.stichting-GGTO.nl. Worldsbestfishingtrips.com ensures through its way of working that the risk of bankruptcy is very small and pays all carriers, accommodations etc. that are part of your holiday, in advance.
