You can choose between two locations to stay and fish from, being Sudureyri and Flateyri. In these locations there are respectively 8 and 9 holiday homes in which you can stay. With your rental car you can drive to Isafjordur to the large supermarkets to have a broad choice in products.
 
 
The fishing here is excellent. It is varied and you can focus on cod, coalfish, haddock, wolffish and redfish. If you want to take a moment's rest after a morning of “heavy fishing” it is a nice idea to fish for flatfish with lighter material. And the average size is way better than in Europe! All in all, the fishery here is very diverse and is part of the European top. In our extensive digital brochure the spots and methods are described in detail!
 
 
Sudureyri
 
Here we have 5 different houses here in three categories. These are basic, standard and premium.
 
- Basic: renovated apartments with 2 bedrooms each with 2 single beds, fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, coffeemaker, refrigerator and living room with dining and sitting area
- Standard: apartments with 3 bedrooms with a total of 6 single beds, fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, coffeemaker, refrigerator and living room with dining and sitting area 
- Premium: 
 
Flateyri
 
Here we have 9 beautiful accommodations in the category standard. These are spacious Canadian-style residences with 6 single beds each, fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, coffeemaker, refrigerator and living room with dining and sitting area.
The distance to the boats is between 200 and 300 meters. A small supermarket is only a few minutes walk away. Guidance on the spot is provided by the Icelandic staff and a German and English speaking employee. They will support you with the choice of materials, the best spots, boat instruction and other questions.
 
The Island Hotel
 
On the way back you can stay here for 1 or 2 nights. It is a very practical hotel. You will stay here in a 2, 3 or 4 person room and get breakfast in the morning. For guests who want to stay an extra day for free to discover Reykjavik and its surroundings, this is a perfect location. From here the different day excursions depart or you will be picked up here.
 
For this fishing trips the range of material goes from the light sea rod for the flatfish to the 20 - 30 lbs boat rod for the serious sizes. Don't think you can go lighter than that because there is a 175 kilo halibut caught here as well! So be prepared and don't hesitate to bring the best and strongest material for this.
 
At the location itself you have perfect fishing boats that meet the highest (safety) requirements. GPS, fishfinder, life jackets, marine radio, life raft, first aid kit etc. The boats are 7.85 meters long and equipped with 130 hp engines and the deck offers a lot of space for comfortable fishing.
 
The season runs from April to September and as in many northern European destinations it is necessary to bring good water resistant clothing. But in the summer period it is also possible to spend the day in a t-shirt. So be prepared.
 
The trip starts on Tuesday afternoon with a trip to Reykjavik where you will fly directly with the inland flight to Isarfjordur and from there with your own rental car to the location. Your luggage will be collected in Reykjavik and be brought to your home at your destination by truck. You will be fishing until tuesday at the end of the morning / beginning of the afternoon after which you will fly back to Reykjavik in the evening where you will spend the night and have the possibility to spend the next day sightseeing or fly directly home.
 
On site at the airport and at the locations there will be staff present to show you around and to whom you can ask any questions you may have. You are allowed to take 2 x 23 kilos of luggage plus 8 kilo handluggage back and forth. This trip can be booked from € 1700,- per person with 6 persons in the earliest season. Additional costs: Food & drinks, petrol for the rental car and diesel for the boats according what is used. Optional is the bag with frozen fishing filet.
 
The rates are in Euro per person including international flight from Amsterdam, Brussel, Frankfurt, Berlin or Munich and local flight from Reykjavik to Isarfjordur. The price includes security & airport tax and general boat insurance worth € 200,- per boat. For each fishing package that is ordered we have to charge € 245,-. Extension rental car for the second week is € 650,-.
 
In case you fly from other airports to Reykjavik international airport the PRICE PER WEEK IS 280 EURO LOWER and is excluding the international flight to Reykjavik when you come from any other country than Netherlands, Belgium or Germany. The international flight has to be added and we are happy to assist.
