Lauklines

Fully guided fishing trips

It doesn't get any better than this! This is a super spot in Northern Norway right on the waterfront in the sheltered Kattfjord. The conditions are perfect! The bay offers very good shelter when the wind is a little too enthusiastic. And otherwise it is only 20 minutes sailing to the open sea. If you look at the nautical chart of the area around Lauklines, you already know what is awaiting you. Sharp abysses for the cod and coalfish, beautiful plateaus for the halibut, depths of 10 to 300 meters are abundant.

Lauklines is particularly known for its fantastic halibut fishing. This gets better with each year. The sheltered fjord and the inflow from the open sea makes this an ideal area for this fish. Skrei fishing has always been very good here and definitely a reason to visit this location. In March it is still completely white here and there is snow which makes this a period of extreme 'specimen'. 30+ kilos is a really big fish here. 20+ kilos is in this period is highly likely to catch! In the period after spawning, the larger fish are more on the open sea and the smaller 10+ kilos remain in the fjord.

The big coalfish provide fantastic sport on light material. These Northern Tuna are experts at making your reel scream. And of course, we want nothing more than that! The smaller models are ideal as bait for the halibut and the big ones are available in the last part of the season. If you come for the big ones, the end of summer and the beginning of autumn is the best period.

The wolffish is relatively easy to catch in the period from March to June. Especially in this area at depths of 20 to 40 meters and slowly descending stony areas where there are plenty of them. But don't forget the monkfish, ling, redfish and haddock. You are going to find it all here.

This location has chosen to focus on guided fishing completely. For this purpose, they have two guide boats at their disposal and one or two more will eventually be added. So that means you cannot rent a fishing boat here for private use. That means it will be a bit more expensive, but at the same time it also means that you always fish the best possible spots, you are flexible in terms of duration and starting time of your fishing day, but you can also adjust it to local weather conditions.

If the weather is less good one day, you can have an extra long session the next day and optimise your available fishing time. So it's more expensive than without a guide but better by definition!

In 2021 we went for a visit to this location together with Dutch Vlogger Daniel Weijers. Check out our adventures here.

The Arronet 30 SPT is a unique boat model that we have been involved in developing ourselves. We designed the boat to create the ultimate type for our trips. The boats are 9.4 meters long and 2.8 meters wide. They are built with a focus on comfort, safety, and maximum deck/fishing space. The boats have a center console with seating under a roof for shelter for the weather.

They are equipped with state-of-the-art chartplotter, echosounder, radar, and VHF from Garmin. The boats have 2×150 hp Yamaha engines, which means we can quickly reach the best fishing spots. Onboard, there is a portable toilet from Porta Potti.

The boats are certified for 6 passengers + skipper. The skipper has a D5L certificate, safety- and first aid course, passenger and crisis management course, health certificate and VHF certificate.

Rescue equipment on board: Life raft, life jackets, lifebuoy with light, cast line, rescue ladder, fixed VHF, handheld VHF, EPIRB, AIS-SART, fire extinguisher, fire blanket, first aid equipment and emergency flare kit.

Includes: skipper/guide and excluding petrol. There are 3 baots like this available.

With this option, your group will have a dedicated skipper for all fishing days. There is also the possibility to adjust the start time depending on the weather and to shift hours between days depending on the weather. We do recommend that if you want to fish 5 days, you stay 7 days so that the trips can be made on the days with the best weather
