Topspot for halibut
This is an absolute prime location in our portfolio of Northern Norwegian locations. Havøysund is located north east of Soroya at 71º North latitude and close to the North Cape. The name Havoysund has proven itself over the years as one of the top spots to catch nice numbers and sizes of halibut. But apart from halibut, serious sizes of cod, catfish, redfish, coalfish, plaice and tusk are also caught here. This is definitely a place where you can improve your PB for all these species. And all new customers get one day a guide for free onboard so that should work out just fine!
In less favourable weather, this location offers the possibility of sheltered fishing. meaning virtually no fishing days are lost in the event of less favourable weather. Apart from the location itself, the nature here is also very impressive. Rock formations, flora and fauna are untouched and overwhelming here. Over the past few years, this location has developed into a top spot where halibut is caught regularly and in a targeted manner. This is an absolute top spot and so it is recommended to book early. A year in advance is really no luxury!

If you book your fishing trip here, all new guests get one day free a fishing guide on board at no extra cost. This is arranged on the spot and it goes without saying that every group wants the fishing guide on board as early as possible in their week. So the earlier you book the more likely it is that the guide can join you at the start of your fishing week.

Not only is the number of fishing spots particularly great but also the diversity of the spots is great There is a channel near the harbour where it is 5 to 8 metres deep and where you can target large plaice and smaller halibut. This is done by sight since the water here is so clear.
And how about the various spots around the islands of Masoya, Hjelmsoya, Ingoya and Rolfsoya. Each and every one of these have dozens of top spots where you can fish and where we have welcomed many fish on board over the past 15 years.
