Just three and a half hours from Gothenburg and two hours from Oslo, in the middle of the beautiful and unspoilt nature of the Varmland region, are the lakes 'Ränken' and 'Hugn', which are connected and offer very good fishing for large pike. It is not only the pike but also pike perch and perch that have a great attraction for the anglers who have been there before! Because once you have been here you will certainly come back in most cases. The combination of unspoilt nature, top fishing and excellent authentic accommodation make this a memorable location for all guests. And with a bit of luck you can catch one of the large trout that both lakes are rich in in spring. This is the world of the Halle Fishing Camp.

This is how your week in Halle can look like:

Halle Fishing Camp offers first-class fishing. Every year, pike of 120 cm and more are caught, as well as large pike perch and perch. But in order to conserve these impressive fish and to allow other anglers to catch them as well, the rule is that all pike bigger than 75 centimetres and zander bigger than 60 centimetres have to be put back! This is very beneficial for the fish stock and leads to good results and nice catches. The two lakes are together about 20 km2 and offer more than enough space and fishing spots to target the local predators for a week or more.

This camp is managed by the Bryntesson family of which Karl is the 'head man'. The family welcomes guests with a lot of passion and does everything to make your stay runs smoothly. Karl will also be sure to provide you with the latest information about the spots where the fish are staying during your fishing week.

On this location there are several houses that are situated a large distance from each other so you can fully enjoy your own peace and quiet and space. At only a few metres from the houses you can pick different kinds of mushrooms from August onwards. The houses are available from Saturday to Saturday. Arrivals are possible from 15.00 hours and departures must be before 10.00 hours.

There are nine different houses which all have a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, freezer, stove with oven, coffee machine and toaster. A fishing boat with a 4 hp engine is included as standard in all houses.

House 1

This house is simple but fully furnished and can accommodate up to 4 people. This house also includes a pavilion directly on the water. The house stands on a large plot where also the general laundry- and sauna room for all guests are located.

The house is 50 m2, is located 100 metres from the water and has 2 bedrooms each with two single beds and a small private sauna.

House 2

A beautiful house for the whole family or group of fishermen up to 6 people. The property is 75 m2 and has three bedrooms. The first with two single beds, the second with a double bed and the third with a bunk bed. The living room has a fireplace and there is also a bathroom with shower / toilet, beautiful veranda and a private pavilion on the water which is 80 metres away.

House 3

This is a cosy holiday home with a nice terrace and views of the lake. The house is 50 m2 and has 1 bedroom with 2 single beds and 1 bedroom with a bunk bed. There is a bathroom with shower toilet and is only 80 metres from the water. The living room has a spacious sofa, wood stove, dining area in the spacious kitchen and electric heating.

House 4

This house has a high level of furnishing and is suitable for groups up to 7 people. There are a total of 4 bedrooms. One with a French double bed, two with two single beds each and two single beds in the loft.

There is a leather sofa in the living room as well as a wood-burning stove and TV and there is a dining area in the open kitchen. There is also a spacious bathroom with shower / toilet and another large terrace with outdoor furniture.

House 5

This house has perhaps the most beautiful view of all directly on the lake Ranken. From the spacious terrace with garden furniture it is a wonderful place to stay. There is a complete fence around it so it is also ideal for smaller children to stay during a summer holiday. There are two bedrooms, one with double bed and one with two single beds, bathroom with shower / toilet, large living room with TV and spacious sofa and the whole house is 75 m2.

House 6

This beautiful wooden house stands is located directly at the water, is 70 m2 and suitable for 4 people. It has a studio kitchen, spacious living room with sofa, wood stove, electric heating and TV. There are two bedrooms, one with double bed and one with two single beds. It is possible to rent a small separate dormitory extra to stay here with 6 people.

House 7

Like house 5 this is located directly at the water with the boat in front of the door and the car next to the house. Complete peace and quiet and space make this one of the most popular homes. It is suitable for 4 persons and is 70 m2. It has a large waterfront terrace with the best views imaginable. There are two bedrooms, one with double bed and one with two single beds. It is possible to rent a small separate dormitory extra to stay here with 6 people.

House 8

A typical Swedish house of 65 m2 with lots of wood and character. It has a large kitchen and dining area, living room with spacious sofa, TV and fireplace. There is a bathroom with shower and toilet. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a French double bed and one with two single beds. The distance to the water is 100 metres.

Apartment

The apartment was built in 2016. It can accommodate 6 people and has 3 bedrooms each with 2 single beds. There is a cosy living room with TV and a spacious fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, freezer, coffee maker, dishwasher and microwave. There is of course a bathroom with shower and toilet. The water is 100 metres away and this is really a top home where you will not lack anything.

In this camp there are stable boats made of aluminium (Linder) or plastic (HR boat) equipped with modern economical 4-stroke engines from Yamaha. The boats are, in addition to the engine, equipped with an external fuel tank, rod holders, oars, anchor and life jackets.

It is also possible to rent a fish finder and electric engine. The electric engine is a pleasant, convenient and environmentally friendly addition to the petrol engine. The electric motor is good for short distances and during verticals. To make it easier to put the fish back, each boat is also equipped with an unhooking mat.

Prices in euros per person. The houses are rented per week from Saturday to Saturday. These prices include final cleaning, water, waste disposal, bedlinen, towel and 1 fishing boat with 6 hp engine. Electricity has to be paid separately on the spot.

A supermarket is only 7 kilometres away in Amotfors with an excellent assortment where you will not be short of anything. All in all, this is an undiscovered pearl in the middle of the Varmland forests where you will enjoy fishing and the overwhelming nature. In addition to the regular season, you can also go here in the middle of winter when you like ice fishing. And what could be better than to light up the fireplace after fishing and enjoy the silence and beauty with a beer while having a great view.
