Live aboard Indonesia

There is remote! There is even more remote and there is “Off the charts!”.

There is not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 remote locations where we can offer a once in a lifetime live aboard fishing experience that is equal to none.
  • Lucipara: October & November, embarkation Ambon
  • Mapia Atoll: July & August, embarkation Manokwari
  • Ayau: September until April, embarkation Sorong
  • Komodo National Park: March to October
So prepare and check in for your dream fishing destination to tick of a truly amazing fishing trip from your bucketlist.

All 4 locations have the same principle. You check in on a comfortable mothership and you sail to the remote destination of your choice. The motherboats can accommodate up to 20 people but for the fishingtrips usually book between 10 and 14 fishermen. When you arrive at the remote location each motherboat has several smaller boats where the guests can go and fish the empty atolls, drop offs and reef ends where there is untouched fishing.

The trips to the fishing spots are short because the mothership is always in the close vicinity of the best spots. So no long trips to find the best spots so you have more time for fishing. Just wake up from your comfortable bed, get your breakfast and start fishing. It does not get easier.

Take for example the Lucipara islands. They are literally off the regular charts and in the middle of the Banda Sea. When leaving the port of Ambon it is almost 175 kilometres sailing before your reach them.

The Lucipara Islands comprise a cluster of small, uninhabited islands scattered in the Banda Sea, surrounded by crystal-clear turquoise waters teeming with marine life. This remote and unspoiled region offers a unique opportunity to experience world-class fishing while immersing yourself in the stunning natural beauty of the Indonesian archipelago. The islands are filled with steep drop-offs on its perimeter and lagoons in the middle.

You can do popping, jigging, trolling and land-based casting here. High strike rate for popping and jigging. Lucipara is not only inhabited by the Sea-turtles and Giant Trevally but also by Dogtooth tuna, bluefin tuna, escolar, groupers, barracuda, amberjack, sharks, and many other species. And fishing in this pristine areas will give you the best of opportunities to hook one of these monsters.

The Mapia Islands, also known as Bras Islands, is an archipelago located in the eastern part of the Indonesian province of Papua. This remote and pristine destination is comprised of a cluster of stunning tropical islands, each boasting breathtaking landscapes and teeming marine life. This area is located at the border between the Phillipines and Indonesia. There are 3 main islands in Mapia with a very large atoll in the middle. You can do popping, jigging, and fly fishing here. Fish species in Mapia have a lot more variety compared to the rest of our destinations. Notable species include Napoleon wrasse, GT, dogtooth tuna, yellowfin tuna, amberjack, groupers, mahi-mahi, wahoo, barracuda, sharks, and many other exotic species.

Ayau is located to the north of Raja Ampat, this island is rich with fish species. You can do popping and jigging here. Species include GT, dogtooth, groupers, snappers, and many others.

And last but sure not least there is Komodo National Park. This destination is famous for its strong current where big fishes hunt and it’s packed with monster GTs. You can do popping and jigging here. Species include GT, Wahoo, Grouper, Mahi Mahi, amberjack, yellowfin tuna, and snappers.
