Sheltered in the Lyngen fjord

At the far end of the peninsula lies Lyngen Havfiske, perfectly equipped for fishermen. From here the first hotspots can be reached in just a few minutes. The fishing area at this location is varied and offers good opportunities and spots for targeted fishing of different species of fish. The area is too large to be fished in one week. No wonder that many guests return here or book longer than a week. This location is also extremely well protected and offers an ideal starting point in all weather conditions.

The fishing camp is only a 1.5 hour drive from Tromso airport. The houses are located directly at the water and overlook the Nordlenangenfjord. Behind the fish camp is the road followed by an impressive mountain range while at the front there is a clear view and you can go fishing right away. Here you are in a sublime fishing area where at the direct end of the fjord the water masses mix during high and low tide. It is in these currents that the different species of fish hunt. Just a few minutes sailing you will find the famous halibut and cod hotspots around the islands of Vannøya, Arnøya und Fugløya with directly behind them the North Atlantic sea.

The fishing above the underwater mountains Seibåen, Lyngsbåen, Lyngsskjæret and Brosmebakkgrunnen are overwhelming spots for guaranteed success. Cod, coalfish, halibut, wolffish, tusk, redfish etc. You're going to catch them all here. In late summer, especially the large coalfish and halibut are number 1 on the 'hit list' here. Especially for the halibut the Karlsøy and the Langsund are the designated locations. In other words. You will experience lack of time due to the large amount of top spots.

There are 5 houses built on pillars above the water and comfortably furnished. The houses offer a total of 50 m2 of living space and a fantastic view over the Nordlenangenfjord. The apartments are modern furnished and have a living room with TV, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, oven, 4 burner stove, coffee maker and kettle. Next to the entrance is a small barn with freezer and where fish materials and overalls can be put away dry and there is also access to the terrace. On the first floor are 3 bedrooms each with 2 single beds as well as the bathroom with shower and toilet. The houses are therefore suitable for up to 6 people. And the beds include bedlinen and two towels per person.

Besides the houses, there are also 4 apartments located behind the central location . Apartements 6 and 7 are for max 6 persons with 3 bedrooms with each 2 single beds. Apartements 8 and 9 can be combined into one large apartement for max 10 people and consists of a 4 person and a 6 person apartement.

During your stay you can use the sauna free of charge and for those who like it there is also an outdoor jacuzzi which you can use for an amount of 70 NOK pp. It' always nice after a hard day of fishing to enjoy a hot jacuzzi with a beer overlooking the fjord.

Besides the houses there is also a general service house. Here you will find the sheltered and spacious filleting room with running water and extra freezing capacity. Additional equipment can be dried here and there is also a small shop with angling equipment which is surprisingly well equipped.

For this location it is also possible to have meals on the spot. You can get breakfast, lunch and dinner or a combination. Of course in Norway this is not very cheap but very pleasant and well taken care of. These meals need to be planned in advance. And if you want to prepare your own meals there is a small supermarket in 800 meters distance which you pas every day by boat and also the transfer that picks you up in Tromso stops at a large supermarket to get the first essentials.
