The Netherlands are known and famous for the very good predator fishing. Whether you fish North, South or the middle of the Netherlands  there is a multitude of possibilities to fish for pike, pike perch and perch. But when you are not so familiar with the area and ways of fishing and still want to catch great fish you should get aboard with our guide Michael Stalenhoef. This full time professinal guide wiil make sure you will have a great fishing experience in and around Amsterdam. He is specailized  in "old skool" float fishing  with dead bait for pike perch (zander / walleye) but he also enjoys finding many other species like pike and perch. River Zaan

The river Zaan is a 8.39 miles long river in North Holland. It starts at Lake Alkmaardermeer and ends in the North Sea Canal (Noordzee kanaal ) With a maximum depth of approximately 23 ft the river Zaan is also a very good place to fish in the winter. On the banks of the river you will find the famos windmills, monumental buildings, cacao industry and little old villages such as Koog a/d Zaan, Wormerveer and Zaandijk.

Lake Alkmaardermeer

Lake Alkmaardermeer, also known as Akerslotermeer, is a lake in the north part of Holland near the city of Alkmaar. It’s connected to the North Sea Canal by the river Zaan. This lake has a very erratic bottom gradient at various sites. In some places there is more than 82ft of water. You are only allowed to fish on the Alkmaardermeer with a ( day ) fishing license from Dilvis.

North Sea Canal

The North Sea Canal, made by men, is a 13.5 miles long canal that runs from downtown Amsterdam to the city of IJmuiden, where it flows into the North Sea. In general this canal has a depth of approximately 52 ft but towards IJmuiden there are places that reach 62 ft. The excavation works started on March 8 1865. The 4.35 miles wide dunes between Velsen and the North Sea were dug off with shovel and wheelbarrow. The canal was officially opend on November 1 1876.

For staying in this area there is a multitude of possibilities.  We can book you in downtown city centre of Amsterdam but parking your car would be a very costly nightmare. But for those who want to and want to travel by puiblic transport or taxi this is a perfect way to combine fun with fishing.

 

But for those who are focussed on the fishing we can book you close to the fishing spots in the following locations.

 

De MeerParel is situated by lake Uitgeestermeer and is part of Watersport Centre Uitgeest. The Uitgeestermeer area is very green. This is the perfect place to fully relax. Or get active! There is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area and there are many cultural and historical sights to visit. The beach and cities of Amsterdam, Haarlem and Alkmaar are very close. 


B&B Het Heerenhuis is located close to the Zaanse Schans. The Zaanse Schans is world famous for its windmills. Explore the area by foot,visit local traditional shops and the old Dutch industry heritage.

You will be fishing from an Alumacraft Competitor 165 Tiller powered by a 50 hp 4-stroke Suzuki outboard and rigged with both front and rear 12v Minn Kota trolling motors and two Lowrance Elite TI 2.  THis boat offers good space for 2 guests polus guide. In case you have a bigger tgroup thanj 2 people we can off course arrange extra guides and boats for your group. Please ask for the opportunities.

 

For the fishing all materials are provided:


Rods, reels, tackle, bait, valid fishing license for one day, coffee and tea, sandwich lunch of your choice, soft drinks like Cola, Fanta, Sprite or water. This will be discussed before hand as well as the kind of fishing so all the right materials will be available for your desired fishing.

 

What to bring:


You should bring appropriate clothing for the weather, suncreen, sunglasses, fishing cap, your favorite rod if you prefer and a camera/phone to make pictures and films of your catches. 

 
This trip can be tailor made according to your wishes. Do you want to go three days fishing or six. And it is also possible to come with more than 2 people. let us know what you want and we will make you a quotation.
 
For one angler the price is € 285 ( including a valid fishing license for a day )  
For two anglers the price is € 385 ( including a valid fishing license for a day )      
 
 
This is an all inclusive fishing trip and that means the following:
 
  • A day fishing ( 8 hours )
  • Boat + fuel + guide
  • Free use of fishing gear ( rod, reels and bait )
  • Free sandwich lunch of your choice
  • Free coffee and tea
  • Free soft drinks like Cola, Fanta, Sprite or water
 
So if you want to go here and fish 5 full days with 2 guys ans sleep in a nice B&B and a rental car the average price will be approximately 1600 euro per person excluding fligh.
