This location is ideal for fishermen who are looking for big fish but would like to fish sheltered in Northern Norway. The Solbergfjord lies between the mainland and the island of Senja. This means that due to the large difference in ebb and flow, good currents are created here. And where there is current, there is fish! On top of that, you don't have to drive far for the good spots. Opposite the pretty town of Sørreisa lies the beautiful Furøy Fishing Camp at the peninsula with the same name. From Bardufoss airport it only takes 40 minutes. This can be done either by transfer or by rental car.

The location is directly by the water and the houses have views of the fjord and there is a sauna, bar and stable 18-foot boats with economical 25 HP engines available. The landscape around this Sørreisa-Fjord is characterized by the typical and idyllic mountain ranges of northern Norway. Even in summer, the peaks are covered with snow and offer a wonderful contrast to the green wooded surroundings. The island of Senja opposite the location offers very good wind protection, which means that there are rarely any lost days. Furthermore, there is practically no professional fishing in this inland region, which makes it a real gem for fishermen.

The abundance of fish here is great and also the underwater structures already reveal that there are many potential hotspots present. From april onwards, reports are coming in of cods weighing 20 kilos as well as large wolffish. After that it will soon be the alibut, coalfish, haddock etc turn up. Especially in autumn, large schools of coalfish come swimming into the fjord that guarantee spectacular drills with the right equipment.
