Sågarbo Herrgård is located in the northern part of the Uppland region and is a beautiful and former horese farm that is located in beautiful nature and has its own beach just a stone's throw away from the Baltic Sea. At the same time it is close to the forest in an overwhelming nature. It is less than 2 hours drive from Stockholm and is a true idyll. At the farm there are 16 houses that are rented out to nature lovers and fishermen. The Billunden peninsula is a protected nature reserve and a well-known location on site that can be used for perfect fishing from the shore. People here speak Swedish, English and German.
The location is on the Sagarbofjord on the Bothnic Sea. In addition, less than 2 kilometres away is the mouth of the Dalälven River where salmon and sea trout are a popular target fish. This is one of the best locations in Sweden for salmon and sea trout fishing. From Sagarbo it is about 15 minutes by boat to the mouth of the Dalälven River. Furthermore, pike and perch are caught directly off the coast and in the bay. The fishing pressure here is low and means that beautiful fish are always caught. The location is open from April to November and offers a wide selectiony with in spring and autumn the sea trout and pike and in summer the salmon is very popular. Fishing at sea does not require a permit, but fishing on the river does. Fishing can be done by fly as well as by lure. Trolling is not allowed at this location.

There are 8 houses, each with 2 half parts of 30 m2 that can accommodate two people. There are two single beds in the bedroom and there is a kitchen studio right next to the living room which is fully equipped. The houses are at a large distance from each other to guarantee each other's privacy and are furnished in a modern way. The furnishing is luxurious and offers a high degree of comfort. Together with the garden furniture, the idyllic location and the impressive nature, that picture is complete.
Next to the houses there is the possibility to use the hot tub (2000 SEK) and sauna (500 SEK pp). There is also a private boat ramp, boat landing area and several bbq's. It is also possible to provide meals for larger groups. To be allowed to fish on the river in all sections for a week, you need a permit which you can easily arrange on the spot. The costs are around 120 euros for a week per person. You can also buy day permits and combine them with fishing from the coast. Fishing at sea does not require a permit.
To get a perfect start of your fishing holiday, it is possible to arrange a fully catered day with a professional guide. You do not have to bring anything because everything is included. Angling equipment, coffee, tea, lunch and it takes place from a Tracker Pro Guide V16 SC, 90 hp Mercury or a Ryds 485 RSI, 50 hp Mercury 4-stroke. Both boats have a fish finder and GPS, electric motors and safety equipment.
It is also possible to rent a local fishing boat to go out on your own. It is a Linder fishing boat of 14.5 feet and 15 HP engine with GPS/fishfinder which can accommodate up to 3 people.
The costs for a house for 2 persons are €1.425,- in low season and € 1.595,- in high season from june till august for the week and includes water, electricity, heating, bedlinen and towel. The cost of the fishing boat Linder of 14.5 feet and 15 HP engine with GPS/fishfinder are included. Fuel is at extra cost.
The distance to the fishing boat is 200 meters and the nearest supermarket can be found in Skutskär 5 kilometers away.
